(No, nothing to do with Jim Henson's Labyrinth, though I saw they're doing a manga series based on it??)
There was a book series I read about 10 years ago, where this guy was on safari in africa, and he wound up going into this labyrinth that he couldn't get out of, and it just kept going deeper and deeper.
I remember clearly that there were illustrations of the creatures he met in the back, like a journal of sorts...
Unfortunately, I don't remember the title of the series or the author...
Help??
The name of a Fantasy Labyrinth Series?
The title of the series is "The Dungeon" and each book was written by a different author. I'm afraid I don't remember the individual titles and authors, but there were six books and I have normally found them under Philip Jose Farmer (who lent his name to the series although he did not write any of the books).
Ibooks recently re-released the series in three 2-book omnibus volumes.
Reply:Labyrinths (1962) is a collection of short stories and essays by Jorge Luis Borges. It includes "Tl枚n, Uqbar, Orbis Tertius", "The Garden of Forking Paths", and "The Library of Babel", to name some of Borges' more famous stories.
